The new Smart Cartridge communicates with the Fire Control System within the X2 ECD, indicating the type of cartridge loaded in each bay and its deployment status. The Smart Cartridge contains the nitrogen propulsion system, probes, TASER® wire, and Anti-Felon Identification (AFID) tags sealed behind a rugged, weatherproof blast door. The new static resistant propulsion system allows the X2 ECD to display NMI arcs without firing the cartridge – which also reduces the risk of accidental static discharge misfires.

This TASER cartridge has a range of 35 feet.
